NEW NOISE MUSIC FOUNDATION

NEW NOISE MUSIC FOUNDATION:

Established in 2009 and incorporated into a non profit in 2010, the New Noise Music Foundation creates a participatory creative culture through producing its annual New Noise Santa Barbara Music Conference & Festival (Fall), consistent music concerts, workshops, educational lectures and volunteer, internship and career opportunities for all ages, especially young people. In 2011-2012, New Noise will establish a permanent home for a 300+ capacity, all ages, drug and alcohol free music venue in the Santa Barbara region (“The Living Room”).

New Noise events, concerts and workshops culminate in its annual music conference and festival in the Fall (New Noise Santa Barbara). Entering it’s third year and held at the Canary Hotel as well as music venues throughout Downtown Santa Barbara, the festival hosts more than 100 artists and music industry speakers in three days throughout Santa Barbara. New Noise aims to be fun, creative and educational: giving artists and participants the resources and opportunities to perform and learn in a professional, inventive setting. Many locals have dubbed the New Noise Festival the “Film fest for music.”

The Festival is an important addition to the Santa Barbara community, helping artists and entrepreneurs listen, learn and connect with some of the brightest music and technology minds in the world. The Festival concurrently serves as an important channel for local artists to be showcased alongside national touring artists and industry workers.

New Noise encourages collaboration and a fun atmosphere where relationships and connections extend beyond the life of the conference. Putting much of its focus on technology, the New Noise Digital Conference assists musicians explore ways they can promote, market and sustain their careers. The conference takes place annually (Fall) over three days in beautiful Santa Barbara, California.

New Noise produces hundreds of diverse music performances year round at venues large (Arlington Theater, Granada Theater, Lobero Theater) and small. We have also curated a number of festivals and events for other non-profit organizations (Santa Barbara Earth Day, Santa Barbara Historic Trust for Preservation Fiesta Cantina). These performances promote opportunities for our local artists and add to a vibrant music scene in Santa Barbara.
